Trump will seek to resume construction of the border wall with Mexico

In a press conference, the former president of the United States and Republican candidate Donald Trump affirmed this Tuesday that the immigration crisis is an important part of his government plan if he wins the elections in November.

Trump detailed that his immigration strategy would focus on a massive deportation operation of millions of people, returning to policies from his first administration, such as the use of Title 42 to quickly expel migrants.

Likewise, he would seek to reinstate the Remain in Mexico program, which requires non-Mexican asylum seekers to remain in Mexico until their court dates, and would allocate federal funds to resume construction of the border wall.

Trump also expressed his willingness to build migrant detention camps and deploy the US military to the border and in the interior of the country, if necessary, to contain migration.

To carry out this operation, Trump mentioned that he would rely primarily on the National Guard, but he would be willing to use other parts of the military and ask for help from local police if necessary.
