Without a doubt, inflatable bouncers are one of the great attractions at children's parties and local fairs, however, if they are not properly placed and secured, they can represent a fatal risk for girls and boys.
Such was the case of Bodhi, a minor of only two years of age, who lost his life in an inflatable that was lifted from the ground by a strong current of air.
According to the local newspaper, the tragic event took place in Casa Grande, south of Phoenix in Arizona, around 5:00 p.m. last Sunday, when police and paramedics arrived at the home.
The sheriff's office reported that several children were playing inside the inflatable located in the yard of the house, when a violent gust of wind sent them into the air, which then fell abruptly into a neighboring lot.
The infant was quickly taken to the hospital but, due to his serious injuries, he died on the way. The authorities reported that another girl was also taken to the medical care center, suffering from some bruises and a broken arm.
The Phoenix Fire Department, the company where the father of the deceased minor works, published a message on Instagram to offer condolences to the family and invite the community to provide support to cover funeral expenses.
The unit also commented that the couple expects the birth of a child early next month.
Currently, about 1,400 people have joined the cause, which will also cover the expenses of their son's next arrival, raising 122,000 dollars of the 100,000 they needed.
